The ROCK-IT team gathered once again at the DESY Hamburg campus for the 5th ROCK-IT Project Meeting, bringing together more than 50 scientists from partner Helmholtz institutes DESY, HZB, HZDR, and KIT. On the 6th and 7th of March 2025, participants shared project updates and engaged in in-depth discussions on key research areas.

The meeting kicked off with the work package leaders sharing recent updates on Remote Connection and Cyber Security, Controls and Automation, Experiment and Robotics, Near Realtime Analysis and Machine Learning, and Data Lifecycle Management. The ensuing breakout sessions focusing on experiment validation, AI feedback for catalysis analytics, sample environment data storage, and remote authorization solutions, created a platform for deeper discussions and feedback from various work package groups. Day two featured presentations from the breakout groups, flash talks by recent poster presenters, and a dynamic poster session providing a platform for further exchange and collaboration.

ROCK-IT Project Leader Edgar Weckert emphasized the team’s strong synergy and collaboration, acknowledging the significant progress made in the recent months. The meeting participants expressed their enthusiasm for the next steps in the project.
